Showit website re-design for a wedding venue. Koury Farms Wedding & Events is an elegant, rustic, white barn wedding venue in Auburn, North Georgia. They offer stunning event spaces including a covered pavilion, a vineyard and a gorgeous bridal villa.

Glynis & Scott came to me as they wanted a blog page set up and designed in Showit. 

They had a template for this but I made some changes to the design so that more posts could be displayed on the page. Showit integrates with WordPress so you actually write the blog posts in WordPress and the design is housed within the Showit platform. 

Since they hadn’t yet used the WordPress platform for blogging yet I set some dummy posts so we could see how the blog page design looked. I also provided Glynis with a video tutorial to explain how to blog in WordPress and how the design looks within the Showit platform. 

Once I had completed this they then wanted me to proceed with updating the rest of the site to match the same aesthetic. The original design was a little boxy and lack luster. Glynis described how she wanted a light and airy feel to the site and had sent me some galleries with updated images for me to use throughout the site.

I started with the home page, and suggested we add in some reviews and awards and recognition to give it more authority and context. I selected light and airy images and worked with the existing copy and branding to create a more interesting and appealing design.

Then I worked on re-designing the about and services pages following the same design concept. 

The result was a more elegant website that better represented this beautiful venue and it’s hardworking and passionate owners. Check it out here:
