Showit has rolled out some cool new updates lately so I thought I would put together a blog post to highlight these new features as a way to elevate your site design. Check out all the Showit updates below!
This new feature allows you to resize and crop images to create a unique effect.
Here are the steps:
This allows you to set 2 colors to fade into each other which can look great as a canvas background to seamlessly transition from one canvas to the next. Here’s the steps to follow;
This is a game changer! You will find this feature on the bottom tool bar and you have the option to remove it if preferred. It helps you center elements on the canvas quickly and easily and snap into place if desired.
This has been around for a while but I thought I’d still highlight it.
No need to add an extra widget, Showit allows you to display your live Instagram feed. Simply select “social grid” from the bottom toolbar to add to your canvas and connect your Instagram. It automatically refreshes ever 10 minutes to display your new posts.
Here’s the steps to add the Social Grid widget to your design:
You also have the option to set fallback images if for any reason the live feed does not show up.
Another recent update is that Mobile canvas backgrounds now support videos just like desktop. Previously this was only allowed on the desktop version. We all know the importance of mobile design so this is a very needed update. Videos have to be under 30 seconds, have no volume, and be under 8MB if you want to use it as a canvas background.
There you have it! Showit is always rolling out new updates so it’s exciting to see what will be introduced next! I hope these help you elevate your Showit website design!
